Counsel
Amanda represents national clients, including industrial leasing, skilled temporary companies, heavy equipment operators, restaurants, construction companies, foundries, health care facilities, manufacturers, and factories regarding employment and workers’ compensation matters. She specifically draws upon her extensive experience in the administrative law arena in representing employers before the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and Industrial Commission.
Amanda’s administrative law experience includes having served as an administrative law hearing officer for the Montgomery County Child Support Enforcement Agency where she was responsible for conducting administrative hearings to determine paternity and child support obligations. Amanda also conducted administrative reviews (mistake of fact and review and adjustment of support orders) in accordance with state statutes and policies. In addition to conducting hearings, Amanda executed written decisions which affirmed, reversed or modified existing decisions made by the child support administrative agency.
Amanda has also served families as a guardian ad litem representing minor children in proceedings in the Montgomery County Juvenile Court. She has counseled numerous families and advocated for the best interest of minor children in the court room.
Community Leadership Activities
Amanda has served as a professor at Fortis College in various areas of legal curriculum for the paralegal program. Amanda is also a member of the Women’s Board of Dayton Children’s Hospital and volunteers at Incarnation School.
